The shank adapters are manufactured from specially selected alloy steels followed by heat treatment through carburizing which withstands the high impact power of drilling.

The shank adapters are therefore designed to withstand the high impact power of modern rock drills and made from specially selected material which also is hardened through carburizing. Around 300 different shank adapters suitable for different rock drills are currently available from Atlas Copco series drifters, Ingersoll Rand series drifters, Tamrock series drifters, Furukawa series drifters Garden Dever series drifters etc.
